Job Description

Location:  Windsor, Ontario

Contract Length:  6 months

 

You will be responsible for providing leadership and internal consulting expertise in the areas of operational health & safety management, personnel security and environmental compliance.

 

Your role will involve: 

  • Providing input and recommendations to facility leadership, line management, Team Members, and visitors/contractors regarding all manner of health and safety aspects that enhance the health and safety of Team Members, including Team Member security
  • Serving as a technical consultant and guide during routine incident investigations
  • Developing and implementing programs in conformance with global standards and in line with facility strategic direction
  • Planning, developing, and delivering health and safety training programs for plant leadership, management, Team Members and contractors
  • Serving as a technical consultant for Operations management during new equipment launch – facilitate and approve risk assessments
  • Managing the risk assessment program for Operations management
  • Managing the facility PSR process
  • Providing support through sharing best practices across the Vistaprint group
  • Facilitating training relating to process and contractor safety
  • Performing the role of Site Management of Change Coordinator as defined in Intelex
  • Evaluating recommendations from property insurer, and assist with implementation as appropriate

In return you will bring:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a health, safety, or environmental-related field is preferred
  • A safety certification (CRSP, CHSC, CIH, CEP, etc.) is preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in leading Safety, Health & Environment programs in a manufacturing facility preferred
  • Experience with safety management systems and safety auditing programs
  • Role model with a high level of professionalism, integrity and ethics

 Demonstrated Ability as follows:

  • Knowledge of applicable federal and provincial Safety, Health, and Environment law 
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive written reports with clear findings and recommendations
  • Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Ability to positively influence change by developing cooperative networks and building trust at all levels with internal and external partners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - able to deal with a variety stakeholders
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and priorities
  • Comfortable working with software and data
