Our interns get the chance to make immediate impacts working on real projects in our Analytics, Finance, HR, IT Marketing and Software Engineering departments. You will join a small team where you will be given the tools to help you succeed. In addition, every Vistaprint intern is assigned a manager and buddy to help you navigate your internship. At the end of the summer, you’ll leave Vistaprint with real world experience that you’ll be able to bring back to the classroom to further enhance your educational experience.
We value the importance of a well-rounded internship experience and believe that getting to know your fellow interns is just as critical to the overall experience as the day-to-day work. Two Thursdays a month we invite them to our infamous Happy Hour, the VIEW. We also want our interns to experience Boston, so we take them on a scavenger hunt through iconic and historic landmarks. Additionally, our interns get to experience the manufacturing process in real-time when we make a special road trip to tour our Windsor, Canada facility.
Once a week, Interns VistaChat ask questions and share their experiences with talented Vistaprint and Cimpress professionals while being treated to lunch. Each executive speaks about his or her own career path, how they came to Vistaprint, and what they contribute to the Vistaprint community. This summer’s speakers included Chief Executive Officer of Vistaprint Trynka Shineman, Senior Vice President Chris Connors, and several others.
It’s still the Summer, so we want our interns to have a good time beyond the office learning environment. Every other Wednesday, food trucks pull up to the office to serve up a variety of cuisine for lunch. We get them in the Boston spirit by taking them out on the town to explore all the amazing things this city has to offer. You can’t come here and not see a Red Sox game at Fenway either. Other outings involve trying out their skills at the bowling alley and enjoying drinks and appetizers.
A 2016 Cimpress intern, Noor, got the chance to see the immediate impact you can make here when he helped design a content manager to better service Vistaprint’s website. Seeking his Masters in Computer Science from MIT, he joined the Product Design Technology team for nine weeks of work and fun.
During his time here, his team was faced with manually entering and updating calendar dates into a database for release – from 34 global locales. To make this process easier, more streamlined and less prone to human error, Noor helped build a web application called the Calenger. This project is being implemented by a former 2015 intern, David Wu, who joined us full time.
