The interns had a busy couple of days. On Tuesday, July 25th, they flew to Detroit and began their trip to Windsor, Canada. After a nice steak dinner at The Keg, we all headed back to the hotel for an early start in the morning. We arrived at the plant at 8am on Wednesday morning and were greeted by friendly faces and a breakfast to fuel us for our day. The day consisted of brief presentations followed by tours of the building to physically show us what we were learning about. We were able to hear from logistics, digital, and analytics, as well as many more. It was fascinating to see the work behind the finished products that we receive and work to promote. It was also an added bonus to meet other Vistaprint employees from another location who were so welcoming of our visit.
Fellow intern, Amy Sokolow said, “I had such an awesome time at the Windsor plant! While being a Marketing intern for Cimpress Open, it’s easy to get disconnected from the larger objectives of Cimpress/Vistaprint as a whole. Seeing the factory put into perspective how vital each small piece of the operation is to the big picture: helping entrepreneurs market their businesses!” Another intern, David Deisadze said, “visiting Cimpress/Vistaprint in Windsor was an incredible experience because it allowed me to visualize the product of my teams work. Now I have a picture of where my contributions are playing a role,
All of the interns had a great time at Windsor. At the end of the trip, we had a special surprise from the Windsor team which were personalized decals unique to each individual of the colleges they attend. Along with the decals, they also provided Vistaprint mugs for all interns! Overall it was an amazing experience that we were so fortunate to have been able to be a part of. Special thanks to Jody Demty, the Campus Recruiting Manager, for organizing this amazing trip!
