Software Engineer – Enterprise Business Solutions Development and Integration 

 

Do you enjoy solving complex business problems?  Does building solutions that integrate business-critical data streams across various platforms sound interesting to you?  If so, perhaps you’d like to join a team of dedicated and fun-loving developers who thrive on producing high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions at the speed of light!  Cimpress is looking for an experienced Software Engineer who will use their intelligence and strong analytical and developer skills to design, develop and maintain proprietary, business-critical interfaces with Cimpress’ enterprise systems.  This role requires working closely with a variety of characters, including business analysts, SAP engineers, other development teams, and the Cimpress DBA team to design and develop cross-platform solutions, manage environments, coordinate application releases and manage issue resolution.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, build, deploy and support Cimpress’ proprietary integration platforms using C#, Microsoft ASP.NET WebApi and MVC, T-SQL, and other technologies
  • Use a combination of C#, T-SQL, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), and AWS technologies, such as EC2, S3 and CodeDeploy to maintain interfaces between SAP and other platforms
  • Work with Finance, Supply Chain, and HR business analysts to gather functional and technical requirements, develop new programs, and build test plans for new applications
  • Work closely with other developers to develop, test, and implement cross-platform integration solutions
  • Work closely with DBA and SAP administrator teams to monitor, test and performance tune application components
  • Document and maintain application designs and maintenance procedures
  • Troubleshoot technical and functional issues and coordinate resolution with development, DBA and operations teams at Cimpress
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions and manage issue resolution

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar
  • 3 - 4 years of software development experience using C#, T-SQL (object-oriented preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET WebApi and MVC
  • Experience with AWS technologies, including EC2, S3, and CodeDeploy
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks, such as NUnit
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools, such as Jenkins
  • Database programming with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
  • Experience with large enterprise financial systems (preferred)
  • Experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS (preferred)
  • Knowledge of SAP platform including ABAP and FI/SD (preferred)
  • Experience with EAI solutions such as ERP Connect, WebSphere, or Mule (nice to have)
  • Experience with full project lifecycle activities: design, development, testing, deployment and production support
  • Experience managing development and operations environments through source control
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging and technical support skills
  • Performance monitoring and tuning experience
  • Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
  • Excellent estimating and workload management skills
  • Strong ability to analyze and manage issues independently
  • Collaborative and motivated team-player
