The Cimpress Open Senior Marketing Manager defines, differentiates, and communicates the Cimpress Open  brand, raising awareness across a diverse set of customer segments. The Sr. Manager is adept at go-to-market strategy development, customer segmentation, brand building, and has a passion for technology and learning. This marketing leader will conceptualize, develop, and implement the go to market strategy for Cimpress Open, working closely with the business development and product teams.  As Cimpress Open is a start-up, this will be a hands on execution role as well as strategic.   The role will require a constant balance of short term pilots and tests with longer term planning.  This strategy will include messaging, competitive positioning, sales enablement and a marketing channel plan.  This role reports directly to the Vice President of Cimpress Open.   

 

In this role, you will:

  • Understand the mass customization marketplace and competition in order to effectively innovate and develop breakthrough marketing strategies for Cimpress Open
  • Develop a well understood customer segmentation with a marketing channel plan that supports and enables the short and long term goals of Cimpress Open
  • Create customer personas which will serve as inspiration and guides for marketing initiatives
  • Establish go-to-market plans including positioning, messaging, sales enablement materials, internal and external communication materials, promotional activities, and other deliverables, as appropriate
  • Execute messaging in a way that is compelling to prioritized customer segments and communicates the disruptive value proposition of the products
  • Design and create thought leadership and educational content to broaden the awareness and understanding of Cimpress Open, collaborating with other Cimpress stakeholders (e.g. corporate communications)
  • Generate customer success case studies through customer interviews and metrics from the platform
  • Creatively drive partner marketing opportunities with partners; may include development of collateral, inclusion on partner websites, newsletters, webinars, events, content marketing, etc.
  • Lead the re-architecture of the external facing website, collaboratively across Cimpress and with external contractors (if applicable)
  • Work with Product and Business Development to ensure a consistent feedback loop on needs and opportunities
  • People leader that can motivate and manage a small team 

In return you will bring:

  • 10+ years marketing experience, preferably in tech
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven marketing experience, including expertise building promotional plans to bring products to market and keep them top of mind with target segments
  • Flexible and quick learner
  • Energized by a fast paced and energetic environment
  • Proven experience with developing and executing strategic plans and marketing plans
