Due to continued growth, Vistaprint Corporate Solutions (VCS), a newly created business unit within Cimpress, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to deliver on immediate revenue growth opportunities from our newly launched solutions. VCS is targeting aggressive growth through two key market segments/solutions:

 

  • CimpressOpen– our public API access to the Cimpress mass customization platform, allowing any third party merchant to take advantage of the scale, reliability, cost advantage and geographic reach of Cimpress for print fulfillment https://open.cimpress.io/
  • Custom Private Print portals – our offering for businesses ranging from SMEs to enterprises with thousands of users, giving brand control, cost and time savings for office managers when ordering print.

Role Summary

The Business Development Manager (“BDM”) will own strategy and execution for developing a robust book of revenue-generating partners for Vistaprint Corporate Solutions (“VCS”). Partnering with the VCS product, marketing, and strategy and operations teams, the BD will source and close partnerships across multiple channels to grow VCS. The BDM will place particular emphasis on developing the emerging CimpressOPEN branded suite of API-based web services for mass customization along with the traditional corporate and wholesale partnerships.

The successful BDM will do:

  • Learn the VCS product and technology quickly to establish a foundation for domain expertise
  • Get tools and processes set up to organize and automate partner acquisition activities
  • Develop a plan of attack to manage the targeting and prioritization of the high-upside smaller beta prospects and the larger, more established prospects and revenue-generating partners
  • Build a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities that are on track to close in following months
  • Work with the VCS marketing team continually to upgrade the library of sales materials
  • Experiment with a mix of potential partner acquisition strategies (e.g., calls, meetings, events, trade shows, VC/PE, speaker panels, sponsorship, networking) to test the market response
  • Provide active and ongoing feedback to product team and shape roadmap from field interactions
  • Deliver revenue and organic growth to VCS and make the business successful based on scalable process development, people development, and a high-energy commitment to winning

  • Communicative and forward-thinking business development strategist and go-getter
  • Networker, cold caller, marketer, listener, presenter, negotiator, naturally likeable, and people-oriented
  • Expert collaborator internally within Cimpress and externally with prospects and partners to create value
  • Project manager to drive complex partnership processes that involve numerous senior-level stakeholders
  • Able to understand applications of API/technology through the mass customization value chain
  • Creative and innovative to pioneer successful partnership development activities for a startup BU
  • Willing to travel extensively to engage with prospects or partners and connect with Cimpress home offices
  • An experienced (e.g., 5-10 years) and multi-faceted professional with a proven track record of business development success
