This role will report to the Vice President, Global Controller and is based in our Waltham office.

We’ve had substantial acquisition related activity over the past few years in pursuit of our strategy and expect acquisitions to play a role in our strategy in the future – scale matters and drives our economic engine. You will be involved throughout the lifecycle of deals around the world and will be the owner of the ‘playbook’ design and execution for finance integration. This role will have a chance to make a significant impact on a growing organization and work with a group of fun, driven, energetic people around the world.

The expectation is that this role will also take the primary Finance project management lead for other strategic Cimpress related projects.  This could include a variety of projects that will interact with the broader Cimpress business.  This includes, but is not limited to, all other Finance functions, Operations, Customer Facing Business Units, Corporate Real Estate, and many more.

This Senior Manager will be responsible for:

Ownership of the integration playbook for the finance organization including continual improvement and rigorous process discipline and execution.

Directly manage planning, execution, integration and organizational restructuring financial activities related to post-merger initiatives. These include:

  • Transition into combined finance systems, processes and policies
  • Ensure standard financial controls and compliance are in place
  • Create plan for and execute integrated financial policies, statutory reporting and SOX compliance
  • Create consolidated program milestones, interdependencies and communication plans
  • Define transition plans, activities and contingency plans
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders to move forward key tasks and escalate significant process bottlenecks, anticipated delays and critical path analysis
  • Manage reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, suggesting mitigations to risks, actions to close issues or complete open items
  • Evaluate organizational readiness in advance of transition events
  • Define approach, tools and processes that will be used to support transition events
  • Drive and execute key activities within each integration phase
  • Provide dashboards to monitor integration status

Take the lead in Finance project management for cross-functional, strategic Cimpress-wide initiatives that could be presented on an ad hoc basis.

In return you will bring:

  • Completed university degree with excellent academic credentials.
  • 8 years of work experience, from a professional services firm or a corporate environment.
  • 3 years of PMI experience with demonstrated ability to assess, improve, and execute integration and carve-outs. A bias towards finance processes is a plus.
  • Proven ability to realize performance improvement or deliver an operational turnaround within a short time.
  • Functional knowledge of finance & accounting operations. Experience in an SAP environment is a plus.
  • Understand the requirements of other functional stakeholders (FP&A, treasury, accounting, systems, internal audit, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in a hands-on project management role.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders and delivery dates.
  • Display keen attention to detail, and provide transparency to stakeholders through dashboards, metrics, etc.
  • Ability to influence others, even if they do not report directly to you.
  • Comfortable working in a global environment with senior level management.
  • Good command of Microsoft office suite of tools and project planning.
  • Willing to travel nationally or internationally as required.
