Investor Relations Manager

Are you interested in a new challenge? The right candidate for this position is someone who is highly motivated, can analyze financial and operating results, communicates and collaborates well and seeks career development in an exciting, energized, and fast growing company. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Investor Relations in Waltham, MA.

This is an opportunity to work on a small investor relations team at a company that strives to enhance intrinsic value per share. We are proud to have many long-term shareholders and debt holders who expect Cimpress to allocate their capital to investments that will drive strong long-term returns. Our investor relations team frequently interacts with analysts, shareholders and debt holders to help them understand our market, strategy, capital allocation approach, execution and financial results. In order to do this well, we work tightly with Cimpress executives and many team members in the finance, marketing and legal organizations.

Key responsibilities include the following areas:

  • Learn about Cimpress: our strategy, our goals, our brands, our technology and our results
  • Communicate with investors to respond to inquiries and tell the Cimpress story to educate new investors and analysts
  • Help analyze quarterly results and compile important information and reports used by our CEO, CFO and VP of IR in their interactions with shareholders and analysts
  • Help develop draft investor messages and deliverables; this involves a significant amount of interaction with senior management during peak cycles such as earnings or investor day preparation
  • Develop a thorough understanding of investor sentiment, hot-button issues and “the question behind their question” and provide feedback to Cimpress executives
  • Program-manage key IR processes and logistics:
    • Quarterly earnings announcements and related materials such as the development of the press release, presentations, and Q&A documents – be a leading player in gathering info, consulting with peers in finance and legal, and managing significant changes to our documents
    • Quarterly reports about investor sentiment, share price and ownership movements and peer valuation
    • Investor conference logistics including prioritizing investor meetings and compiling background information to our spokespeople about who they will meet with
    • Annual investor event including event planning and content development
    • Creative design process for our annual report in partnership with Cimpress’ creative team
  • Continue to enhance your understanding of the practice of investor relations: the public markets, our audience, different types of shareholders, disclosure regulations that influence our external communications

Successful candidates must have the following skills, experience and character:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in investor relations, finance, marketing or related field
  • Attention to detail and process/project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial and operating results (balance sheet, cash flow, P&L, marketing and manufacturing metrics)
  • The ability to organize data in a way that helps concisely convey important information
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, and outstanding listening skills
  • The ability to form relationships and inspire confidence, trust and respect from peers, leaders and executives
  • A highly motivated, curious multi-tasker
  • A fast learner who is interested in understanding more about Cimpress’ competitive advantages and business drivers, as well as equity markets and public stakeholders
  • Prior investor relations experience a plus, but not required if the candidate has the right combination of skills and character. We have successfully rotated an internal candidate into this position in the past.
