Summary:

 

As a key member of our European Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team your primary responsibilities are to assist in the consolidated reporting and analysis necessary to provide timely, transparent and value added support to the business and to be the main point of contact  for the coordination and orchestration of the budget and forecast cycles. The selected candidate must be willing to proactively engage with plant FP&A teams within Europe (8 locations) in the reporting of monthly results and variances from their annual budget in addition to providing financial guidance and support. This “European” position will report to the European Manager FP&A but will be based in Venlo, the Netherlands.

 

Your role will involve:

 

  • Handling the European Manufacturing consolidation for budgets, actuals and variance analysis;
  • Preparation and follow up support for Global Manufacturing Leadership Team meetings;
  • Budgeting and Forecasting support-being the main point of coordination and orchestration;
  • Cost Efficiency Tracking of the consolidated EU;
  • (Strategic) Projects support and Business Case validations;
  • Support for Capital Planning process;
  • Develop, implement and maintain a standardized and effective planning and analysis and consolidating capability that will provide as well local teams as senior leadership appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure against targets;
  • Working in collaboration with local FP&A teams to perform value-added financial analysis, to create financial models and business cases and to identify areas of risk and opportunity;
  • Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications;
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses / benchmarking across European plants that focuses on underlying business drivers which can inform business decisions;
  • Coordination management and financial approval of Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs);

 

In return you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 -5 years of relevant financial experience in a manufacturing operation.
  • Very strong Excel (incl VBA), SQL, modeling and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate operational data into financial figures.
  • SAP experience is a pré.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
  • Independent thinking, problem-solving skills.
  • Accurate, persistent.
  • Pro-active team player.
  • Flexible, gets the job done.
