As a Senior Lead Software Engineer on the shopping development team you will be helping to lead an experienced, highly driven development team.  You will lead a global development team in modern web development as we move to ASP.net MVC.  The ideal candidate will bring hands-on ASP.net MVC expertise to our highly skilled and motivated software engineering team.

 

All candidates will have several years of experience leading software teams in a fast paced environment on an ecommerce platform.  They will not only have strong, practically applied object oriented design skills but will also have experience and interest in enhancing those skills in their engineering team’s members.  They will be somebody who can coach and explain a pragmatic SOLID design as well as they can document and code a SOLID design.

 

Experience and skills:

  • At least five years of industry experience using Object Oriented programming languages (C# and .net experience preferred but not required)
  • Experience leading a team in web development
    • CSS, jQuery, and ASP.net experience preferred. 
    • Mobile web site development experience a strong plus
  • Ability to work productively on cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with database design and programming (MS-SQL development experience preferred)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or equivalent
  • Experience working on a globally distributed software development team is a strong plus.
  • Experience and interest in career management of software engineers (goal setting, coaching, performance reviews, etc.) is a strong plus.
