Are you a proactive, detail oriented and dedicated Translation Project Manager in search of a new role as part of a multilingual in-house localization team?


As part of our European Localization Team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects and stages of localization projects as well as developing and optimizing workflows. You will provide the business with localization solutions to support company-wide initiatives and in order to do so, you will work closely with the internal Localization team as well as external translators, the global technology teams and third party vendors. Located in our European Headquarters in Barcelona, you will be part of a multicultural team of localization experts contributing to localization services at the highest standard.

Your role will involve:  

  • Be responsible for all aspects of localization projects: allocate resources, manage team workload, negotiate with clients and prioritize jobs, analyse and prepare source files for translation, coordinate queries, monitor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements
  • Be accountable for the quality, on-time delivery and effectiveness of translations, as well as client satisfaction, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve internal processes and workflows
  • Develop and evangelize localization solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external resources and vendors, analyse needs and recommend best approaches to support company-wide initiatives
  • Develop and maintain project plans and report regularly on achieved results, roadblocks and remaining work
  • Be responsible for volume and cost reporting, and accountable for cost-efficiency and budget adherence
  • Innovate and optimize workflows and tools to ensure the highest level of performance in terms of efficiency, quality and satisfaction with the business
  • Act as the single point of contact towards the global technology teams, establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal teams as well as third party vendors
  • Educate clients, translators and vendors on processes and best practices, and maintain documentation and guides


In return, you will bring:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in translation project management plus previous experience in translations
  • Must be fluent in English (both written and verbal), another language is a plus
  • BA or equivalent degree in Translation / Localization or Engineering and an advanced understanding of localization processes and workflows
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience in working with CAT tools, Translation Management Systems and Machine Translation
  • Experience in working with process diagrams and project plans required, experience of agile approaches is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation skills, proactive and with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and strong time management skills, well organized, detail oriented and precise
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as actively manage team projects and deliver through and with others, enthusiastic and empathetic
